Whilst most of the arguments for/against pulling over have been around morally if it’s right or wrong, Rule 169 of the highway code states that slow moving vehicles should not hold up traffic, and allow traffic to pass where possible.

That’s a shame if true. As “x” is hardly a current market rate if this does not have adequate supply.

Intrigued by this I looked at a few videos. Around 16:28 you can see it stopped with headlights remaining on whilst stopped.

I believe it was a joke as the authors prior picture was first. Showing a woman in front of a steam engine.

I feel the problem with that is whilst the exit is big, the pathway after is mediocre and can get crowded with buses and people coming the other way.

You bring up about lack productivity due to furlough, however you miss the point that during the pandemic a reduced timetable was in place whilst retaining fully staffed numbers. Therefore whilst not on furlough, a lot of standbys (at home) were increased, instead of working.

I think the way the m27 was completed was rubbish. No resurfacing of the road etc. Loads of existing lane markings still there. It’s a good job that no AI driven cars are allowed, although would like to see how they would manage it.
