Staff onboard and display screens are more than adequate for getting information to the people that need it.
How are you to use X/Twitter without the bright light that is your phone or tablet ….?
… And requires the presence of staff on the platform.
Would dread to think how long that would take to get to shall they not miraculously be ok the platform in question already.
Makes it a bit hard to name when the actual DLR routes can be changed. And adds costs if the timetable changes a route.
Currently in the same sense Elizabeth Line has many routes (four destinations), yet it is combined into one line E.g can only get to Abbey Wood from Heathrow Terminal 5
Whilst most of the arguments for/against pulling over have been around morally if it’s right or wrong, Rule 169 of the highway code states that slow moving vehicles should not hold up traffic, and allow traffic to pass where possible.
You bring up about lack productivity due to furlough, however you miss the point that during the pandemic a reduced timetable was in place whilst retaining fully staffed numbers. Therefore whilst not on furlough, a lot of standbys (at home) were increased, instead of working.
There was someone interviewing going around to anti mask events, with the attendees stating how they shouldn’t be told what to do. Only for them to seize up when asking if that applied to abortion.
I think the way the m27 was completed was rubbish. No resurfacing of the road etc. Loads of existing lane markings still there. It’s a good job that no AI driven cars are allowed, although would like to see how they would manage it.
