    Service charges added to bills

A job description or a job definition is not going to cover every nuance of said job.

    Service charges added to bills

Is it? I'd say that's just being good at ones job....the reward for which is generally continued employment.

    Formula 1

Can't upset the current teams who all currently get a bigger slice of the prize money with 10 teams vs 12.

Online petition calls for Leap Year Day to move to June: could it work?

Some people have too much time on their hands.

Is a train driver worth more than a Naval Officer?

Staff retention plays a part in higher wages. Given the cost and length of training, companies are not going to want high staff turnover.

    Have you any irrational fears?

Interesting thanks. The genetic repulsion certainly works this end.

    Have you any irrational fears?

I don’t think it’s classed as a true irrational fear/phobia but trypophobia always makes me uncomfortable, particularly on images of skin.

Network Rail blasted over Dawlish sea wall death

On the track obviously not often, in large part due to the line being away from the edge, but that isn't what was suggested. I do see people slip from time to time though and the point is it is still an added risk.

Network Rail blasted over Dawlish sea wall death

A painted line brings it's own risk, particularly in a potentially wet area right before a drop. What happens when people slip on the painted line, or where it gets weathered away?

    Formula 1

It’s not a problem that needs changing as far as I’m concerned. Sometimes you benefit from it, sometimes you don’t. The teams all know the score and have it within one of their many strategies.

"Smart" meters spamming from electric supplier

Don't think you need a smart meter to realise most of that already.

"Smart" meters spamming from electric supplier

Sounds like a made up story from your friend to be honest.

"Smart" meters spamming from electric supplier

I'm confused about how the texts between doctors and energy company can be confused and have "exactly the same wording". Also I don't understand how spam messages can bring on an attack...if they were constantly knocking on your door fair enough but spam texts are just the same a spam...

Senseless attack on 87 year old in Greenford, London

That's effectively "out on license". How's that any different? Frankly if you have murdered someone in such fashion you shouldn't see anything other than a cell and courtyard....ever.

Interest Rate Rise - a good idea ?

While the average wage was lower back then, how much was the average house? The average property price is about 9 times that of the average salary. How much was the cost of fuel, food, heating and general standard of living?

Police want travel card data to track suspicious rail passengers. How much is our privacy under threat?

Would have thought National Insurance number would stop the need for that.

Police want travel card data to track suspicious rail passengers. How much is our privacy under threat?

Why would/should there be a threshold in the first place?

Seb is retring after 2022 it has been announced.

    Formula 1

No, it implies the stewards are finally clamping down on it. For too long the rules were implied inconsistently from track to track and corner to corner. Now its clear the white line defines the edge of the track and even then there is still a generous leeway of 99% car width.
