Just curious where or even if people go abroad on short day trips or maybe for couple of days riding the rails in other European countries? I've just been to Amsterdam on Eurostar and had a couple of short trips around the Netherlands, Would be nice to hear where other people venture.

Not sure I would advise anyone to do such a thing. Revenue people must be able to tell what the ticket has been used for.

Yes it is, I used it yesterday. At the moment it's a bus to Schiedam then take the train to your destination. Believe new tram link will start end Sept 19 fingers crossed.

At Euro 53 it's still a good price, Really looking forward to my return trip, Just looking where else to visit instead of Amsterdam.

Yesterday I was in the Netherlands and was give this ticket by Stena as part of a Rail/Sail package fare. Can anyone advise what type of ticket it is ? Is it for example a Day Rover type ticket multi use, or a single/return use ticket.

I feel like dipping my toe again to the european market. Looking for suggestion on a day return from Amsterdam or Rotterdam. Leaving either at about 10am with a return back at about 16:30. Any ideas welcomed..........

Couple of weeks ago did the trip to Amsterdam & Rotterdam. Have to say the trip was so easy which made it all the more better. Train London to Harwich Intl, Ferry to the Hoek then train into Amsterdam, it was so seamless and fairly relaxing. Got me wondering if there are any other...
