Voyager - XC dont have any 158s (though the 158 timings usually apply for the Turbostars).

Normally starts at Nottingham of course.

Also looks like it started from Derby because of the "No Report" until it actually left Derby itself.

since this working is usually a voyager cross country Nottingham to Bournemouth, does anyone know if there is voyager service to Nottingham that forms this service? I don't see a Bournemouth to Nottingham service in the timetable.

There is no comparable northbound service. The only reason it runs the way it does is to make better use of what would otherwise be an ECS path from Central Rivers towards New St. It provides extra morning peak capacity in a path that would normally be a 170 at other times of the day. Once it gets to New St and heads south it is just a standard pattern train in the Man Picc to Bournemouth leg of the XC network.

Love the way it shows "allowance/slack", either cynicism or lack of understanding for what it is there for.

Mainly the former! Combined with a deliberate glossing over of the finer nuances which might not be of so much interest to the average passenger just wondering whether their train has a chance of arriving a couple of minutes early - as well database space-saving considerations. Hopefully the explanation here (point 3, at the bottom) is enough to encourage anybody who's really interested into further reading. (Comments on the accuracy/clarity of that explanation are very welcome of course.)
