456's at haywards heath

saw a load of southern 456's in the siding at haywards heath this morning, where they off too?

I'm presuming they worked that. 6 units have been taken out of service now, so it's possible they've been sent to store at Haywards Heath until they are transferred to SWT.

If the way Southern stored the ex460 vehicles is anything to go by, the 456s will need extensive corrosion repairs carried out after spending months out in the open doing naff all.

Anyone know if this is the same 6 x 456s that were reported as sent to Stewarts Lane a few days ago, (Fri 18th) or is it a second batch?

Was reported to me by staff earlier that it was 2x 456 units in the Loop earlier.

Its been stated that the 456's are to be stored at Stewarts Lane before being sent straight from there to SWT.

However with space getting low with 6x 377/6 there and 13 more expected in the next few weeks and 24x 456 to store they might be moving the units around to make room.

6x 456 are at Stewarts Lane awaiting to go to SWT
4x 456 went to Hayward Heath for temporary storage yesterday. Units were 456004/010/011/019.

The remaining 14 units should stay in service until December timetable change.

A post in UKModernEMU reckons there are 10 x 456s out of service now, the 6 at Stewarts Lane and another 4 at Haywards Heath, and that is that until the end of the year.
