A special train for the people doing the Great North run..

Apparently my sister (who did this on Sunday) said there was a special train for those doing the great north run. She got the train from Northallerton to Newcastle and I was wondering if it was a designated 'special train' and if any interesting traction/stock formations were used??

It was run by NXEC: From NXEC website

The following additional services will operate to Newcastle for the Great North Run:

06.45 from Doncaster, calling at York, Northallerton, Darlington and Durham

06.55 from York, calling at Darlington and Durham

haha, I live in Worcester anyway so it would be difficult to get there anyway
