No trains between Huntly and Inverness until the 17th, Rail Replacement Buses running instead!

Longer platforms at Elgin and a new alignment and station at Forres. The present station at Forres being demolished in the process.

Anyone know if there are any other improvements in the pipeline for the highlands railways that will close lines for more than just a weekend?

Elgin West signalbox was sadly demolished this morning. They tweeted a picture of it being taken down, as well as a photo of the last token being handed over at Nairn last night. twitter.com/networkraila2i is where I've been checking for updates.
