Hi folks,

Having some real challenges booking this one, not helped I am sure with an unadvertised closure of Alfreton Ticket Office today.

Would be grateful for confirmation (or otherwise) that I just need an experienced clerk that can make the computer say yes to get these all booked please?

That's quite a tight itinerary to cross Warrington in (just 22 minutes). The data requires 25 minutes (5 minutes interchange at WBQ, 15 minutes from WBQ to WAC, then 5 minutes interchange at WAC) which will be why you cannot get this.

Here's a similar itinerary which gets you to Alfreton 22 minutes earlier: https://tickets.railsmartr.co.uk/fa...adults=3&children=0&railcards=2TR,TSU&limit=5

There are no reservations available on TfW services by the way. Usually there is space, but they can get crowded at weekends.

Thank you, pretty sure that EMR service won't run due to the strike action, so am planning the TPX to Sheffield, then Northern home. Accepting the risk of 55 minutes wait in Warrington, although if all runs on time should make the earlier one hopefully.

Thanks too for the heads up on the TfW seat booking situation too, not used them for some time. Wonder if I am just best getting TPX to reserve some seats, then buying the tickets as a walk up?

Great shout thank you, much better plan than my original Warrington change using the same services. Just need to work out how to book it now as not showing on any of the route planners.
