I'm planning to do the follwoing photo trip next week

I'm not able to book advance tickets because my health has been unpredictable lately.

I'm proposing a super off peak day return for the main leg at £31.95

I would like to know which other legs I'll need tickets for.
I'm thinking Central-Partick-Queen Street.

Any advice gratefully accepted.
Thanks

Rather than

ALNMOUTH - GLASGOW CEN/QST route DIRECT Railcard Super Off-Peak Return (SSR) £31.95 Restriction 3V
GLASGOW CEN/QST - PARTICK route ANY PERMITTED Railcard Off-Peak Day Return (CDR) £1.20 Restriction B3
Total £33.15.

try

ALNMOUTH - EDINBURGH HAYMARKET route DIRECT Railcard Super Off-Peak Return (SSR) £23.35 Restriction 3V
EDINBURGH HAYMARKET - PARTICK route ANY PERMITTED Railcard Off-Peak Day Return (CDR) £9.55 Restriction H1
Total £32.90.

and save a massive £0.25!

EDIT Better to split at Haymarket than Edinburgh. Same prices, but there is an evening restriction on the Edinburgh - Partick return "Passengers MAY NOT JOIN at ... Haymarket Mondays -Fridays any service departing between 1643 and 1809 ..." which could be awkward if you miss the 1637.

You could buy Alnmouth - Haymarket and Edinburgh - Partick and have two valid tickets through Princes St Gardens!

Ok thanks fellas.
It looks like my original option Alnmouth to Glasgow Off peak super day return + a Glasgow-Partick return at £1.20 will be my best option.

I'll have to watch the Haymarket connection though.
