Analogue Smartwatches

Hi folks I'm struggling, can't wear a smart watch in the cab because it has a screen, I don't normally take my watch off, only to charge a couple of times a month. I use mine to track heartrate and sleep. I'm struggling to find fully analogue smartwatches without a screen. I've tried Casio, Withings, Garmin but they all seem to have a screen built in, Casio used to do one but doesn't look like it's available anymore. I'm not looking for "activity trackers" I'd like an all in one solution if at all possible. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks :D

What "smart" feature do you want? I can't imagine any smartwatch exists without some kind of screen on it somewhere because that is what displays the smart data.

I'm drawing a blank as well. There were some early watches without a display like the first generation Garmin Vivomove which was the one I had in mind when I read your post but like others at the time, it doesn't have a heartrate sensor.

Withings (Nokia) is the closest I can think of. You might be better off getting a smart wrist band/ring and wear that alongside a watch on the other arm perhaps? You can get them without screens.

Though it still has a screen, so no use for the OP.
Does this mean that a Casio F91W would not be acceptable, due to its LCD screen?

I would suggest that the OP might be best off asking his licensing authority for a list of approved devices, as it doesn't feel like there are many options at the moment.

Our policy specifically allows 'basic' analogue and digital watches that have no smart capability. Otherwise, the only activity trackers allowed are those which are solely passive, i.e. record information but have no ability to display it.

So something like a smart ring would be acceptable, but the watch listed above would not be.

Thanks for the suggestion, I was looking at Withings, I really like their watches but they have a tiny screen :( I'm going to go down the smart ring route I think.

Mostly Glasgow-ish. Mostly.
I've been wearing an Oura ring for a couple of years now and honestly it's been great. No screen, no vibrations, no notification method of any kind and I get to wear proper watches again while maintaining pretty accurate sleep and fitness tracking..more so than smartwatches or fitness bands. A smart ring is the best route to go.

What is the point of a tracking device that doesn't display the information?

There used to be Pebble, it had an e ink display but wasn't really smart in the modern sense. Could track basic stuff and display notifications. And had good battery life. But it has been discontinued for some time.

Our policy specifically allows 'basic' analogue and digital watches that have no smart capability.

What is the background behind this policy?

The engineering department of my previous workplace made good use of them, as it allowed my senior and manager to keep track of notifications and calls without having to pick up the phone.
That way they could glance to check if whatever was bothering them was worth their time or could just be ignored, without taking their hands off the keyboard and mouse.

I've been benefiting from this at my current workplace. Before I had my phone turned off, but now I can see if my mom is calling and pick up the phone without having to constantly pick it up to see who's calling.

I guess there's concerns about drivers being distracted by the watch? I find smartwatches useful for the purpose you mention since it means I can tell quickly at a glance if it's something I need to deal with or not particularly when I'm on call.

The Pebble was definitely defined as a smart watch and I'd say any watch which can connect to a phone and show data from it is a smartwatch. From what I remember of the Pebble smarthwatches the smart side of them is much the same as what Garmin offer now, some limited features through the phone like notifications but mostly working on their own.
