We are on the final train from Aberdeen and Scotland to York until the 27th. There was never any danger of not catching this train for us as we went up to Aberdeen this morning on it for a final HST bash of 2011.
We were in quiet standard coach B this morning and it was a very quiet train to Edinburgh then got busier. For once on a Saturday the quiet coach for the whole journey was just that.
In First Class on way back to York (before we drive back home to Bolton), only 2 other people in coach L now and you can here a pin drop. Sadly we had two college types from Stonehaven to Berwick who were a bit louder than you want in First, but not to the point of telling them to button it
*As an update it is so weird seeing stations with hardly anyone on them at this time on a Saturday. There must have been about 10 people got on at Newcastle and the same at Durham and now Darlington.
