I've been sat on the 2005 from Waterloo to Bournemouth for nearly an hour now and it's yet to leave Waterloo. According to a passenger group I'm on there is a broken rail at Hook which has caused a huge backlog of delays, though information from SWR is very scant. Apparently trains are moving, but we aren't yet.

Does anybody have any more information?

It looks like 1L57 has just been cautioned through on the Down Fast, 1W79 is following close behind. There is a signal set to red on the Down Slow so yes, trains are moving but it will be slow and limited capacity.

Reported track defect with a driver reporting a dip in the track. Lines are open at 40mph restriction with tack engineers going to in tonight to rectify.

Do you know how close it is to the recent repair to the embankment?
