Heavy Maintenance, since the refresh finished, the thread has evolved into noting all movements between Reading / SPM and Works locations. Perhaps the thread should be renamed to reflect this?

With regard to the sad news that Doncaster Wabtec is to close when they have completed their current contracts, does anyone know how many GWR 165s are contracted for a C4 overhaul at Doncaster? Is it all 36 units, or just the 20 2-cars, of which 165137 is currently the third? Thank you.

[Recessio]

Travelled on one again recently, they seem to be holding up well in terms of the new seats and paints and floors. Didn't notice any damage to these, whereas before the refurbish you'd be lucky to find a carriage without seats fraying or scuffed carpets.

I have noticed quite a lot of the double glazing appears to be blown though, and hopper windows are still opened despite the air conditioning functioning.
