37250 was always considered to be special and treated with reverence by Syphon Bashers in the north east of England. Eventually, we all got it in the book after having missed it out of Newcastle on the stopper to Edinburgh one Saturday - most of us were further south at the time, but one chap despairingly witnessed it roll into Waverley. Not a bad consolation, that 37!
I thought it was my 1.25 miles moves between Edinburgh and Haymarket that could be described as dreadful! I was never content with anything under 10 miles - and certainly not for anything decent! But it just about counts for haulage.....!
There's a ML 37 coming up later this week
Still to be enjoyed on the Wensleydale, but I was rather put out by the Thornaby depot sticker it was carrying last time I visited! It will always be a Gateshead loco in my mind.
