I then sent an email which also got no response after another week.
Finally I submitted this form https://www.bahn.com/en/contact/cancellation-form and the cancellation was processed within 1 day, though I don't know whether this was because they had finally got round to processing the first form.
I didn't get any errors when submitting the forms.
