Afternoon all, I've been working on this for quite some time:


I'm very excited to be bringing some of the first on track maintenance kit to Train Simulator. More news to follow soon :)

Now this is superb! :D
People have been asking for something like this in TS for ages now and it's lovely to see someone actually do it. I expect it would be a lot of fun to drive that to and from an engineering possession - the shot of you driving it from the cab looks particularly exhilarating with the gap near the floor.

I look forward to seeing more developments!

Looks good BUT what's the wagon for that's attached to it?
It's to extend the lining chord under the tamper.
This is one of the two fine wires that the onboard instruments reference their measurements from.
The other wire is just below the roof line. This is for the vertical alignment.
The other wire is under the machine for the Horizontal alignment.
The longer the wire the better and the trailer also carries the fuel and hydraulic oil tanks.

Now this is superb! :D
