Can't help with numbers but the illuminated trams are the illuminated trams, they are not different ones every year.

Hope this helps.

Western Train (733) and Carriage (734), Frigate (736) and Trawler (737). No idea what order they were in, or if any non-illuminated cars were in use. Photographs seem few and far between of the trams.

That said, if you have any, do post them as we will be able to easily identify the heritage fleet.

As mentioned above, Western Train was first, then Trawler and finally Frigate - as seen here passing me at Talbot Square. We were held here for an hour whilst the parade was ongoing, so got to watch it all. No other heritage trams were involved, just these three.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I didn't realise that the illuminated trams were dedicated vehicles.

I was returning by tram from the Fleetwood Beer Festival to catch my train back from Blackpool North to Stockport. We stopped about 800 yards from North Pier and were there for some 10 minutes without moving, during which time the illuminated trams went past.

Then there was an announcement that we might be stuck there for some while longer as the parade had blocked the lines. However passengers were allowed to get off the tram if they wished from the front left door where we were all assisted off by the conductor.

A brisk walk past a couple more stuck trams got me to Blackpool North about 6 minutes prior to departure. Imagine my surprise when I found the platform gate open so long before departure time and I was able to relax in my seat for the journey home!

Thanks once again for the information.
