The other half and I are planning our summer holiday, and we're looking at doing a tour of southern France, getting about by train.
Provisionally we're looking at doing Lyon > Marseilles > Montpellier > Toulouse, with a couple of nights in each, and ideally a TGV between them.
We'd also like to stop off in Avignon for a few hours on the Lyon to Marseilles leg, and Carcassonne on the Montpellier to Toulouse leg. Would we be able to do this as part of a break of journey on a through ticket, or would we need to split the journey and buy separate tickets?
