There is quite a serious report emerging this afternoon of a Yorkshire Tiger bus having driven into an opticians store in Shipley West Yorkshire. Very few details as yet, other than another vehicle may have been involved, but judging by the pictures emerging on social media & replicated in the following article, it looks quite serious.

Police were called to Market Street, Shipley at 12:05pm today to reports of a bus crashing into a shop.

The orange Yorkshire Tiger bus can be seen protruding out from the Shipley Eyewear Opticians.

It is believed a black Volkswagen Passet was involved in the incident, but the circumstances are not yet known.

A police spokesperson said there are no major injuries.

The spokesperson added: "Market Street is closed and we advise motorists avoid the area at this time."

Hoping no-one is seriously injured.

It seems thankfully as mentioned that nobody was seriously injured, and the driver is reported to have walked off the bus despite the front having been seriously damaged. Most lucky of all was the shop assistant who had just 5 minutes previously left for her lunch and locked the store up, otherwise she would almost certainly have been hit by the bus.
