Bus fire on A240 between Epsom and Tolworth 22/09/22

DDE 20294 got written off at 07.05 this morning southbound on the A240 at the Queen Adelaide.

The white car you see on the side was also involved... appears to have hit the blue car and pushed that into the back of the bus.

The A240 Kingston Road is closed outside the Queen Adelaide pub (not involved in any way!) travelling towards Epsom due to an RTC resulting in a fire. Minor injuries only. The fire is out and recovery is on its way. Please find an alternative route.

The police did not show much local knowledge, however, in their later advice about getting past the closure... advising people to join the A240 at a road which only has the one way in and out - and which was also within the closure zone...
