This is more of a hypothetical question but it came up in a discussion and I’m keen to hear the forums’ views.
In a previous timetable change some peak GWR trains from Paddington changed into Elizabeth Line services that start from Abbey Wood (and vice versa in AM from Reading / Maidenhead). Timings were slightly different but were fairly consistent.
GWR pays delay repay at 15 minutes, but the Elizabeth line only at 30 minutes (and only under certain circumstances)
Certain passengers - certainly between Reading and West Drayton may have suddenly found their ability to claim back delays reduced overnight
Is there something they can do to challenge this discrepancy, make a claim to a regulator(?) or do they have to just suck it up as one of those things?
