CityLink Coaches in Belfast?

Anybody know why there are CityLink coaches in Belfast - all with "Driver Training" on the matrix and PCV L-plates on them? All fully branded and with NI reg plates rather than the Irish CityLink or Scottish CityLink plates?

These are the former Stranraer based coaches which were replaced by the tri-axles. They are now in the Training fleet.
