Ref the helpful info posted recently about the end of the EMR 153s on the Barton Branch - when these are swapped over do they typically travel up to the branch from Eastcroft (or back again) as empty stock or do they form a service train that can be traveled on eg from Nottingham?
Usually 3 times a week.
Sunday afternoon/evenings on services to Nottingham via Lincoln from cleethorpes and vice versa on passenger booked services for swap from Nottingham eastcroft.
However another swap occurs Tuesday and Thursday morning will see it take place in cleethorpes station.
Unit arrives around 925am from Nottingham eastcroft and goes at rear end off platform 3.
The move concerned is 5F87 0702 Nottingham eastcroft to cleethorpes.
The service from Barton on humber then comes in on top off this creating 4 153s in the station.
However the ex Barton on humber then forms the 5f86 1055 cleethorpes to Nottingham eastcroft service. Ie empties.
Before a fresh pair forms the 1056 to Barton on humber service.
HOWEVER CAUTION TO THE WIND DISCLAIMER be warned only recently in the past few weeks or so sometimes the Tuesday am swap over Has not took place it did Tuesday the 16th November 2021. But did not the previous x2 Tuesday's before then.
Thursday's so far it has.
