Class 158 Diagram Leicester-Lincoln

Can anybody confirm which departures from Leicester to Lincoln are normally formed of a class 158 on a weekday please?

The 1140 from Lincoln was a 158 last time I caught it but I can't help you further than that I am afraid. We do have some EMT people on here though.

There are two plus the odd extra working at the start and end of the day but in practice at present anything goes with the EMT 15x fleet so expect anything from 153/6/8 until (if) it settles down.

1st is 0617 Lincoln - Sleaford, 0653 Sleaford - Leicester, 0926 Leicester - Lincoln, 1140 Lincoln - Leicester, 1326 Leicester - Lincoln, 1536 Lincoln - Leicester, 1726 Leicester - Lincoln, 2031 Lincoln - Nottingham (2218 Nottingham - Derby).

2nd is 0554 Nottingham - Lincoln, 0705 Lincoln - Sleaford, 0743 Sleaford - Lincoln, 0836 Lincoln - Leicester, 1026 Leicester - Lincoln, 1234 Lincoln - Leicester, 1426 Leicester - Lincoln, 1634 Lincoln - Leicester, 1826 Leicester - Lincoln, stables to form diagram above the next day.

The 0538 Nottingham to Leicester and return and 2201 Nottingham to Leicester are also booked 158.

Can I extend this to ask if any 158 work is booked for Matlock and Skegness?

Nothing booked for Matlock on a weekday but they appear fairly often and they do work at times of a weekend.

Skegness - yes but it gets a bit complex in the summer. Basically 0730 ish ex Nottingham and return, 1245 and 1745 ex Nottingham and return, I think a set is also booked on the 0955 during the week with a 156.

Saturday:
0550 Worksop to Nottingham
At least 2 other diagrams during the day the details of which escape me at the moment.

It should be borne in mind that owing to a chronic DMU shortage in practice most diagrams can be any form of 15x from 1 x 153 upwards.

For example 0707 Mansfield W to Norwich was 156406 throughout today.

Saturday tends to be very solid for 158s on the RHL though.

The 1855 from Nottigham is often different stock as it is made from a service from Liverpool which divides at Nottingham. These are frequently shortformed so other stock is used.
