Are they going on to the Severn Valley for their gala a couple of weeks later?

According to the SVR site the 44 & 46 are appearing but no mention of the 31 or 37, but they do say "with more to announce very soon"

* Looks as though I've come a sorry second with that info ...... :o

Some schedules for next Tuesday have appeared today, 0610 0Z33 Swanage to Kidderminster SVR, 1448 0Z37 to Barrow Hill LIP and 2020 0Z31 to Burton OT Wetmore Sidings, sounds very much like the Peaks to the SVR, 37703 to Barrow Hill and 31128 returning home

31128 worked behind 33012 on todays 0610 0Z33 Swanage to Kidderminster SVR hauling 37703, 44004 & 46045, it then took the 37 on 1448 0Z37 to Barrow Hill LIP and finally solo on 2020 0Z31 to Burton Wetmore

Were the 33 and 31 working in (Blue Star) multiple on that run?

According to a Flickr contributor they were, looking at a couple of photos there certainly appears to be exhaust smoke from both locos but as nearly all have been taken from the 'wrong' side it's not possible to see if anyone was in the 31s cab

Interesting. I wonder how it works for insurance purposes plugging your loco into one belonging to another group?
I’m sure it’s probably all fine because Blue Star is very much a tried and tested system but it’s just something that crossed my mind when I read your post.

31128 working TnT with 47270 on todays 1254 5V42 Burton OT Wetmore Sdgs to Southall WCR, the 31 leading to Stafford then trailing to London

* After a weekend in search of film stardom Monday had 31128 trailing 47270 as 1019 5M43 Southall WCR to Carnforth Steamtown, the train split at Stafford and 31128 continued as 1607 5Z31 to Burton Wetmore Sidings *

Class 31 news care of @ExRes incoming… ;)

Thank you Mr Cowley

After a long time on duty at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway 31128 broke out today on 0738 0Z37 Grosmont NYM to Leeds Balm Road Loco taking 37264 for tyre turning, I'd heard a while back that the owners of 128 had agreed a hire contract with someone other than NYMR but nothing seems to have come to light as yet

Hanson & Hall 31106 was moved to Nemesis Rail Burton by road for continuation of its renovation work recently and has been pictured in the yard

** Updated Monday 13th March **

31128 returned to NYMR today with 37264 on 1327 0Z37 Leeds Balm Road Loco to Grosmont NYM after the 37 underwent tyre turning

Thread reopened for @ExRes to confound us with Goyle matters…

Thank you Maestro Cowley

After many months of North Yorkshireing 31128 is due to escape into softer counties this evening on 1920 0Z31 Grosmont to Northallerton Wensleydale then 2232 5Z31 to Burton On Trent Wetmore Sidings with Nemesis Rail 47701, presumably they will be accompanied by ECS of some description

The fate of 31106 has been covered in the 'Hanson & Hall' thread, as of 1st January the bodyshell was still whole(ish) at EMR Kingsbury

Hopefully it can get away from Whitby now and work passenger trains for someone else

31128 now back at Burton, 5Z31 was just the 31 hauling 47701
