The 319s are getting old, their leases are ending, and there's 323s going spare soon.
Although the 323s won't be around just yet so there's going to be an an unfortunate decrease in 331/0 availability (any Blackpool N - Man Airport 331/1s might be more than a bit crowded)

I don't have much to say about the 319s, despite seeing them a lot in Wigan, I've only got evidence of being on one once and it was disappointing (2+3 seats, no USB ports, low seats) compared to the 331s.
I am guessing the 769/9s parked up at Long Marston would be pretty good low mileage "319s". I imagine a quick conversion course for Northern staff off existing 769s would allow the /9s to run as AC EMUs - if Northern were desperate enough for seats to fill in between outgoing 319s and incoming 321s from WMR.

I believe Northern were offered the ex-GWR 769s and said no.
They're not desperate, but it's going to be a shame for the passengers.
Once the 323s get here, there might be a slight increase in capacity til Wigan Station Jn - Lostock Jn electrification is done and that takes a decent few 323s away.

Not sure if this is the right thread but erstwhile 319, 768001 was moved from Crewe to Castle Donnington by 37800 today. Anyone know what it’s moved for?

Its joining 319373 for storage. No work for either of these units.

Just going through my records, 319011, 319371, 319377 and 319380 are down as being at Long Marston, with 319441 at Castle Donnington. Is this still the case?

Didn’t 319011 get converted to one of the failed Orion Logistics 768’s?

I didn't see any 319's at Bletchley this morning. It doesn't mean they weren't there mind!
Yesterday's 0656 Bletchley-Euston was the final run for them with London Northwestern Railway according to a post in the LNR 319 withdrawal thread.

There is a separate thread about the LNR 319's...... 214, 217 and 219 are all at Kings Heath, two of the three are due to leave site by next Monday. 433/457 are currently stood down at Camden and will move to Kings Heath once two of the three currently there have gone.
No 319's at Bletchley.

5Q80, 0758 Allerton Depot to Newport Docks 37800 with 319378, Wednesday 29th November 2023, notably 319378 was in Service on Friday 24th November 2023, but did fail early morning at Liverpool Lime Street
However 319378, now left and now for scrap at Newport Docks Simms. However ref another op post in another Northern 319 departure thread,
319383 has survived ref move for today.
So another 319 Northern drag move to Newport will now happen.

Does anyone know if 319371 and 319454 are stored at Long Marston, or if they were taken by road for scrap? TIA
So far as I recall from the mags, 454 is in use static by Porterbrook as part of their Innovation Centre. Can't help with 371.

Does anyone know when the next drag is due to be and where from/too?
One just arriving at Sims now from Allerton, the second this week. Nothing planned yet for New Year, but must be likely that there will be two a week from Allerton, plus or instead, two more to clear Kings Heath. As there are only two locos that can do these moves, 37800 & 884, it does depend on them holding up...There are also three 508s that will go in the New Year.
