Has anyone bought a class 442 cab from eBay from this seller Rubyrock2012?

The feedback is 88% but its the only 442 cab online I can find and appears to fit straight onto a n existing coach. Been nudging £14 £15 offers as £17 + postage is a bit steep just for one end(?)

I have an old Hornby MK3 virgin coach, I assume this'll fit, which I have already modded to hold a motor for power bogie.

Unfortunately I don't have a 3d printer, so this seems to be the viable option.

Anyone bought and happy with their conversion results ?

They’ve only received feedback three times so far and one of those was negative due to the item not arriving so I’m not sure if I’d read too much into that?

The casting does look quite well detailed. It might be worth a punt at that money, but it would still be quite a big job to get something decent out of it, especially when it comes to painting it etc.

Cab and MK3 painting started. Unfortunately fitting a motor to the MK3 undercarriage wasn't as easy as I'd hoped. I have put part of Hornby HST in there so I can drop in an old ring field motor.

But the so called "plastic glue, fast dry" is rubbish. Just barely sticks it together. Glued it three times and it keeps bending off leaving behind a mess.

Worse comes to it I'll reinforce the insides of where the two bits meet somehow
