Been sent a email saying that dbs are to use a class 66 to work top & tail with a 67 tommorw (monday) due to dbs having no spare class 67s to cover for 67025 which is having tyre turning.

this might be good if anyone wants to get a run behind a class 66 on a passenger service.

Cool. Is this the first time a 66 has hauled a passenger service I wonder? Excluding charters and rescues that is...

A 66 has appeared on the FGW trip once before

67025 only required tire turning so unlikely to be out for too long either, 005 will come off the set when the Royal Train next runs.

U lot may want to keep an eye out on friday as rumours are now growing that DBS class 37's may be used on the cardiff - taunton diagram on friday and on the last Bristol - Weymouth loco hauled on saturday
