Is the Watford DC service gappy at the moment because of the 378s being used on the GOBLIN?
Bit like the Deltics then...?Hooray! Pretty much exactly a year behind schedule SNIP.
what were they like...?I've just been on the Class 710's today. It truly was worth the wait. Hopefully more will come in the next few weeks.
It was really fast especially between Blackhorse Road and South Tottenham and smooth too. They also have USB charging ports at both ends of the trainwhat were they like...?

Any clues when the 378s are leaving the GOBLIN?
It'd be nice to jump up there and see both of them while it's still there
It was suggested back in post #140 that it’s space for the additional follow on options for more 710/1s. Having separate ranges for the last 2 digits means there’s no duplication, there’s a precedent for this sort of numbering with the 350/1s, 2s and 3s.
No idea about 710270 though...
and the 378s. They didn't leave a gap to my knowledge, but despite different subclasses, the last two unit numbers form one continuous sequence. I'm curious what happened to 270 though, I wonder if the number of proposed units was adjusted down by one after the numbering sequence was set up.It was suggested back in post #140 that it’s space for the additional follow on options for more 710/1s. Not all the (cheap) add on options were exercised by the deadline so Tfl may still be thinking about more subject to funding at some pointand the 378s. I was told on Twitter that TfL got £25m compensation from Bombardier. That's one hell of a delay repay claim!
