Un-reflectingly following Dewick (often not the wisest thing to do), seems to have led me astray -- although at this very moment, I'm not seeing how. Crosshouse struck out, anyway.

We next move to England for the next journey.....

This is number 987 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Lowton
It follows the line of the North Union Railway
It then follows the line of the Lancaster and Preston Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the Lancaster and Carlisle Railway
It then follows the line of the Furness and Midland Joint Railway
It then follows the line of the "Little" North Western Railway
It then follows the line of the Leeds and Bradford Extension Railway...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the GNR Keighley to Queensbury Line
It then follows the line of the Halifax and Ovenden Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the Halifax High Level Railway
The journey ends at the closed station of Halifax St Pauls

The first closed station on this journey is Lowton
