Not so, unfortunately, as that station was on the Pont Shon Norton branch line of the Taff Vale Railway, which branched off just after Berw Road Halt on the main line.

HINT ... there are still three closed stations to name on this main line, before we then are able to access the final line on this journey, that being the Cardiff Railway.

Pontypridd Tram Road? -- groping in the dark -- may very well be wrong...
Not so, as that station was on the Pontypridd, Caerphilly and Newport Railway.

To help matters move along, the next closed station on the Taff Vale Railway is....

Maesmawr
Wretched industrial South Wales ! -- I like it, though -- shortly off out for a few hours, won't muddy the waters until back again.

We next move to (a different part) of Wales for the next journey.....

This is number 1648 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Bala Junction
It follows the line of the GWR Barmouth to Ruabon Line
It then follows the line of the GWR Sun Bank Halt to Wrexham Line...via Wynn Hall Halt
It then follows the line of the GCR Wrexham to Bidston Line...via Rhosddu Halt
It then follows the line of the North Wales and Liverpool Railway...via Chester Golf Club Halt
It then follows the line of the Chester and Connah's Quay Railway...via Chester Junction Golf Club Halt
It then follows the line of the CLC Mid-Cheshire Line...via Mickle Trafford East
It then follows the line of the Stockport, Timperley and Altrincham Junction Railway...via Baguley
It then follows the line of the MR "Disley Cut-off" Line...via Cheadle Heath
It then follows the line of the Manchester Buxton, Matlock and Midland Junction Railway..via Buxworth
The journey ends at the closed station of Rowsley

The first closed station on this journey is Bala Junction
