Are there an stations closer together anywhere in the UK (Or even the world!) than West India Quay, Canary Wharf and Herron Quays on the DLR?

What are the closest NR ones? The Lympstone Commando and Lympstone Village?

You'd be right there i think but are there any ones that close that you can actually get on or off legally at?

Lympstone Village - Lympstone Commando is 1 mile 5 chains.

I can beat that with Stapleton Road - Lawrence Hill: 31 chains.

I'm fairly sure that can be beaten.

Does LOROL count as National Rail?
If so, Canada Water to Surrey Quays at 26 chains

and Rotherhithe to Canada Water at 17 chains

They wouldn't be closer together in rail mileage, but there are some places (for example Heath on the Cardiff ValleyLines) where there are serperate 'low level' and 'high level' stations. Some of these might be really close together. I think Shotton on the North Wales Coast Line has platforms in one direction directly beneath the North Wales Coast Line platforms but are counted as one station, wheras the similar suituation at Builth Road was two sperate stations (the low-level station having been closed along with that line).

Central Low Level - Argyle St
I don't know the distance but you can see Argyle St from the end of the platform and it only takes a minute or two

takes a minute.

On left is arrival, right is departure. 1107 departure from Central, 1108 Arrival in Argyle St

Edit: here's a photo I took, sorry about the awful blur, it wouldn't focus

If we're wanting to count stations that are very close to one another without a direct rail connection between them, the the two Dorchester stations are pretty close.
