Some great shots this week!

I eventually picked 7, but it was hard to rule others out. Almost every single one looks to be worthy of winning.

When I found a suitable picture and entered it, I was very confident I had a winner. However, having seen all the pictures this week, I'm not very confident at all!

A very high standard this week, well done to all who entered.

As others have said, some great shots this week. I was torn between several but in the end plumped for no. 5.

Some excellent choices this week but in the end I have gone for number seven as I like the composure of the shot.

# 9 10 & 11 all very good shots .... the puddle shot is almost the winner for me while 11 is a superb shot with only the sky over exposed a tad to knock it down a half mark. Winner for me by a short country-mile is # 10, classic !!

Have cast my vote but it was a hard choice between the one I went for and two others. Out of interest though:

Photo 1: Where is "Top Points"?
Photo 11: Where was this taken?

1 - I suspect Australia or the USA
2 - I don't know, it is unbelievably annoying when people don't put in a description, it puts me off voting for them, no matter how good the photo is!

A caption should have no bearing on the quality of photo/picture. Its photo of the week, not caption of the week.

#11 I'm pretty certain is Barnetby.

Just to confirm David's thoughts, photo 11 is indeed Barnetby. The signals in the foreground are Barnetby East's Up Outer Homes (Up Fast on the left, Up Slow on the right), with Wrawby Junction's impressive three brackets visible in the background (L-R Down Goods Homes, Down Slow Homes, Down Fast Homes) and a few more signals besides. Cracking photo.

8 is nice (although someone got in at the left); however 1 is impressive with the smoke and signals so I've gone for that.

Well done to the owner of number 5 - very nice shot :)

Thanks also to the person who voted for my shot (#6 of the 170 and platform signal at Huddersfield) :)

I was dithering between 5 or 8, and would have liked to have voted for both.

I voted 8 in the end (sorry, Tony!) so I am delighted that 5 won!

CONGRATULATIONS, TONY!
