Afaik the 377 are Southern stock on loan to TL until the new TL stock is delivered with the 377s returning to Southern for possible use to GatEx,
The 385 are actually cls387

I don't think there has been any mention of what type of EMU but I could be wrong

The 377s currently with Thameslink will be going to Great Northern to replace most 365s.

Gatwick Express is likely to get a 387 variant but it has yet to be formally announced.

until the new franchise is agreed details of number and configuration is unknown. So I have chosen to leave them off.

There are a number of projects where the rolling stock to be used seams uncertain midland main line, Trans Pennine electrification are two such projects.

In the class 387 thread there could be another order for these units.

From the PDF it looks as though if all the orders listed happen then 25% of the carriages on our railway will be ordered in CP5.
(based on that currently there are approximately 1300 carriages in use)
Ps
If any one wants to play with the figures I am happy to supply it as a CVS

Not directly. Those 377s in the OP's list (40 vehicles) are the later order of 5 car dual voltage units, 377/7s and they are used on Southern routes, but not Thameslink.

They were ordered to allow some existing four car dual voltage 377/2s to be loaned to Thameslink.

the 707s (SWT) order is for 30 x 5 car trains (not 4 car).

There are rumours that the TFL order has 6 additional 4 car units

Are the 800s currently being built?

I didn't realise that the final specifications (carriage numbers etc) had been confirmed for the GWML.

I chose to mark them being built as a prototype has been built that should be in the uk next year for testing.

I've had a fiddle! The total cars for each order is now calculated from units x cars per set, the total number of carriages is a total of that column

Might be worthwhile to add a column for options (if anybody is sufficiently up-to-speed), as that might add a bit of factual background to some discussions that go on here. Is it just Crossrail and Southern 387s with options at present?

Having said that, I do realise that adding a bit of leeway for future growth and changes of plan is, on the whole, not the way we do things in this country.

Be good to but its not always easy to work out contract options

Update the spread sheet with the new Scottish franchise even though details are sketchy.

Interestingly a lot more trains ordered in cp5 than some rolling stock analyst suggested even as late as feb 2014
see http://www.raildeliverygroup.com/

A lot of resources are going to be needed to commission all these trains
