Is anyone able to post a list of diagrams for the current Transport for Wales MK4 Premier service sets?

M-F and Weekends if possible?

Tried searching forum but only related thread I could see is when a 153 set was standing in in the Spring.

Thanks

They are apparent by looking at allocations in Realtimettains.

Weekdays
1V91 0533 Holyhead to Cardiff Central
1W93 1122 Cardiff Central to Holyhead
1V98 1636 Holyhead to Cardiff Central

1W91 0645 Cardiff Central to Holyhead
1V96 1133 Holyhead to Cardiff Central
1W96 1716 Cardiff Central to Holyhead

None on Saturday and Sunday.

Excellent, thanks.

Does anyone know whether there is an option to order hot food to eat within standard class?
I understood that at some point their aim was to offer the meal offer to customers seated in standard class too?

Can I also just check that MK4s aren't currently used on any other TFW routes at present?

My understanding is that the post above is correct and they are the only diagrams at present.

I was on the 11.33 off Holyhead the week before last and the couple in the bay opposite me had pizza (hot) delivered to their seats after they had been and ordered it. They were in Standard Class.

They're scheduled to be introduced on the Cardiff-Manchester route in December, which will include running on Saturdays, but at the moment those are the only two diagrams in operation.

Will the new Cardiff / Manchester services also have catering like the Holyhead Trains do at the moment?

If you're referring to the MK4 sets running on that line, then, yes, it's highly likely TfW is going to keep the buffet car on with a first class.

The new 197s which will predominantly operate on that line will have a buffet trolley service, with some of the 3-car units offering first class, but only with a trolley.

Eventually, that does seem to the plan. It wouldn't surprise me if some or all of the Manchester services are trolley refreshments only from day 1 however. They're also showing as Standard Class only on RTT.

Does anyone have any details of what TFW is offering in First Class hot food wise? I'm aware the food is chargeable now on top of the cost of upgrading to First Class. I wonder if this has affected passenger numbers using it?

Their website has said it will update soon but it's said this for several months now.

There is hot food in standard (burgers and panninis when I traveled around two months ago), ordered from the standard class Buffett. This is a different food option to the first class offering which is only available to those in first.

Burger was very good and substantial, certainly not a microwave job!

That's probably intentional for now, to avoid raising peoples's expectations until the 175s are swapped out.

I suspect it's as much a capacity issue. A 4 car MKIV set will have fewer standard seats than a 3 car 175, and for some of the services planned to be worked from December that will be a problem - so declassifying 1st gets around that.

So perhaps a measure to remain in place until the fifth carriage can be added. It's worth noting that, in my experience, Holyhead to Cardiff services tended to more often be 2-175 (3-175 found usually on Manchesters) which could be why the same measure wasn't considered necessary for Holyhead services. That isn't to deny that the Holyhead 67s don't get very busy, which they often do leaving Cardiff.
