Does anybody know where I can get hold of any spotter books/data files regarding Czech Republic & Slovakia Coaching Stock and Wagons?

I'm aware that STP do them but their Wagon books are from Feb 2009 with no plan to update them and the Coaching Stock book is from August 2015

Cheers!

Long distance trains are still locomotive pulled. There are also Regiojet trains between Kosice and Bratislava/Praha; not to be confused with Railjet between Zuerich/Muenchen - Salzburg - Wien - Budapest.

Railjet has withdrawn Kosice-Bratislava following the re-introduction of ZSSK IC services.

There is also a great deal of info on coaching stock on the multilingual Vagonweb site http://www.vagonweb.cz.

I've not explored it properly but there's pictures and type lists - and a stock list for ZSSK.

Another site I refer to a lot is www.zelpage.czhttp://www.zelpage.cz/?lang=en though you may need your personal translator for some bits.

And if you read German then try http://www.drehscheibe-online.de/foren/list.php?030 - there are frequent contributions on CZ, rather fewer on SK.

Thanks for this

Re the personal translator, I guess it helps having a Czech wife :)

We'll be out there again at Easter so I'll carry on where I left off at Christmas, and the weather should be better too!

That's who I meant :)

Easter is about when it gets interesting with the weekend workings in the Sazava valley and hauled stock to Nove Udoli....
