Says it all really, I’m heading out to Locomotion and don’t want to drag my bag to Shilton and back needlessly - can anyone advise? TIA
There is? Where?Irc: There is left luggage at York if that helps. Perhaps you could bail there
Its not really at the station itself - head towards Blossom Street and just before the Railway Institute next to the car hire place there is a left luggage provider. There is? Where?
For some reason, thankfully it never seemed to die out in Scotland vs the rest of England and Wales. Travelling across the South West last week I felt that these would have been useful down there - indeed one local business in Penzance seems to have taken this idea on.Shame - I’ll need to drag it round with me instead. Glasgow just installed a version at Buchanan Bus Station and I wondered if they were coming back into fashion!
Ah yes I know where you mean! Its not really at the station itself - head towards Blossom Street and just before the Railway Institute next to the car hire place there is a left luggage provider.
Yes I visited Locomotion a few months ago (first time in more than a decade I reckon!) and was very impressed actually. They've done a very good job of having a lot of stuff on display but still well organised and telling some interesting stories about it. I particularly thought that the exhibits in their new hall were quite well thought out and told a reasonably coherent story.Resigned to lugging my bag to Shildon, I entered Locomotion and (unlike NRM who wanted a non refundable £3) they kindly offered to stick my bag under the Info Desk as I navigated the site! This is making the whole visit more pleasant!
(And if truth be told, I much prefer Locomotion than the kiddies playground that is NRM!
Yes I need to go back to Hopetown at some point as well, not been there in ages either (again easily more than a decade!).Its great that you can combine it with a visit to Hopetown too.
