More importantly.... why?Who pays for it?
15018 was still in the base blue livery last time I spotted it in Derby so it could be that one.Sprinter 15017 WN74 YFO is now in a pink vinyl and is branded for a new DRT service in Lichfield and second sprinter is also way being branded but unsure as to which on it is.
Ah you mean the Park and Ride shuttle, often a little busy. Technically, the service known as the Royal Derby is the Notts and Derby service ...and that seems to be doing well do . Must be hospital goers, that can't face driving.15018 was still in the base blue livery last time I spotted it in Derby so it could be that one.
The Royal Derby shuttle is now regularly a 2 vehicle service running up to every 10 mins so must be doing well.
Or fed up with being mugged for carpark charging. Must be hospital goers, that can't face driving.
I've used the hospital park and ride, and 1 minibus every 20 minutes was not enough. In good weather many will walk if able, as it is only a 10 minute walk to the hospital, and it is signposted. So demand may be variable. There does appear to be 2 buses on there lately, although haven't seen anything to suggest an improved frequency officially.Or fed up with being mugged for carpark charging

Car park is free, bus is free and no time limit. The ones within hospital grounds are now limited to 90 minutes, £25 fee if go over. This is whilst they build a multistorey car park on what was a large ground level car park.
The 112 and 402/403 are also changing. I presume the 22 change allows for the new 0730 112.Forthcoming changes to bus services - Derbyshire County Council

There is a few still with the branding but not many,Was in Burton yesterday and last week as well. All the vehicles that I spotted still in Midland Classic livery seem to have lost the 'Midland Classic of Burton' branding and now have Diamond branding on the front below the windscreen.
1454 is actually the old Yourbus fleet number which is now 31432. I did see 31425 on the way home on the Royal Derby shuttle with Midland Classic branding on.There is a few still with the branding but not many,
E200 1454 has the old branding clinging on

Service 9 & 401 Timetable Changes 15/04/2025 15:55:19
From 5th May 2025
Please note there will be changes to the timetables for Service 9 and 401 from 5th May.
Please see new timetables here:
9 Airway - Horninglow to East Midlands Airport & Gateway
401 - Burton to Uttoxeter
Affected Services: 9 401
Affected Regions: Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire
No, they run buses dead/not in service to/from Uttoxeter. Is a vehicle kept at Uttoxeter overnight? The first 401 in the morning departs at 0655 but the first 401 from Burton doesn't arrive in Uttoxeter until 0703 so presumably it's not the same bus?
Sort of not surprising with the 401 as well as not to long ago it was threatened with being cut to just Burton - Tutbury and when I have used it the loading do sort of match that.Disappointing to see the 401 getting cuts, luckily I'll have trent bartons Villager to fall back on though. I am suprised the 0305 lasted so long on the 9, on the rare occasions I would take it I'd be the only one aboard.
I suspect there is very little potential custom, unless the big industrial estate/prison around Foston sees potential passengers. After that, Sudbury and Doveridge are pretty much all there isSort of not surprising with the 401 as well as not to long ago it was threatened with being cut to just Burton - Tutbury and when I have used it the loading do sort of match that.
Is there a source for this info?Apparently Diamond have lost tender for Routes 1, 12, 12E and South Staffs Coach Hire based in Tamworth have win the tenders.
Only info I can find is the 1 being cancelled from 24th May. I can't see anything relating to the 12/12E changing but the 805/806 school runs are moving operator and being renumbered 12A/12B.Is there a source for this info?
