Train Driver Vacancies have arisen for DRS. Trainee drivers needed @ Crewe.

Qualified Drivers wanted for, London, Stowmarket, & Crewe.

I've never heard of DRS training drivers.

Train (Wo)Man Vacancies
Vacancies are at the following depot: Crewe.


Candidates must possess the following:


• Full UK Driving Licence
• Knowledge of the DRS business
• Ability to be able to adopt flexible working practices – undertake shifts
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Ability to obtain a Personal Track Safety Certificate
• The ability to obtain RST
• Ability to maintain/improve high standards of housekeeping and safety
• Must be medically fit to meet both Company and Railway Group Standard, including drugs and alcohol testing
• Undergo security checks and gain required security clearance
• Have an enthusiastic approach to undertake intense training and development in order to gain a thorough knowledge of the rail industry, specifically rules and regulations and personal track safety.


On completion of your training you will be responsible for carrying out all Train(wo)man duties associated with the movement of our trains. This will include marshalling, shunting and train preparation. You will also be required to carry out road vehicle driving activities as needed.

• At least 2 years post qualifying driving experience
• Knowledge of the rail industry
• Basic understanding of DRS Business
• Specific knowledge of Safety Critical working practices
• Ability to obtain a Personal Track Safety Certificate
• Knowledge of all Group Standards relevant to the role of Driver/Trainman
• Knowledge of rules and regulations
• Be medically fit to GO/RT3251 Group Standard including drugs and alcohol testing
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Must live within a travelling distance of approximately 1 hour from the depot due to the safety critical aspect of this role


Desirable


• Experience of driving freight trains
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Is able to adopt flexible working practices
