Does anyone else sit in the pet area on ferries, without a pet, just to be around puppets?

On the ferry to Stornoway the noo.

Don't have my doggo with me today.

Sat in the pet area just to dog-watch.

Is this normal?

I'm torn between pet area and open deck for the breeze.

I am surprised the company allows that, after all you might be some malefactor sneaking chocolate to the doggies...
(In other circumstances it is called "safeguarding!")
