Does Book with Confidence apply to SWR Semi Flex Returns?

The actual conditions for refunds and changes with SWR's Semi Flex Returns (which are essentially a combination of Advance out, Super Off-Peak Single back) are equivalent to that of an Advance, but of course the ticket isn't an Advance itself.

In terms of trying to change or refund (to a voucher) these tickets, would the Book with Confidence scheme apply to Semi Flex Returns or not?

You can not change the time of departure. It is possible to pay the excess to a Off peak/Peak period return at ticket office by 1800 the day before travel.
Alternatively you would have to apply for a refund (voucher)under book with confidence schene online only. In the meantime rebook your tickets.
