2013 Running day
The 2013 event will be held on Sunday 14th July from 10 until 5. This year we will be marking the 110th anniversary of the operation of buses in Eastbourne, the worlds first municipal motor bus company. At 12.00pm there will be a display of Eastbourne Buses through the ages at Eastbourne Station bringing together a number of vehicles that haven’t been seen for a number of years.
All services will start from Eastbourne Station with a frequent shuttle service to the Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway Centre on Lottbridge Drove.
The event will feature
Free rides on classic buses including ex Eastbourne Corporation, Southdown, Maidstone and District, East Kent and other historic buses
Open Top services operating along the Seafront to Beachy Head and Birling Gap
Displays of classic vehicles at the Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway
Sales stands at Eastbourne Station and Miniature Steam Railway
We are aiming to donate some of the monies raised in our programme sales to the East Sussex Disability Association so please support the event by buying a programme that gives details of all services and vehicles operated on the day.
