Overhead wire damage between Sandy and Biggleswade means that some lines are blocked. Services will be severely delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or revised.
Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Now that rail revenue all goes to the Government why is ticket acceptance still such a problem?Ah the common sense, old fashioned railway viewpoint.. you won’t last long these days hahahaha

Overhead line damage reported between Sandy and Biggleswade.
Block to electric traction departing Kings Cross and Peterborough.
30 minute line block of both Up lines while engineers with poles attempt a temp/perm Fix.
Ah makes sense. This OHLE situation on the ECML is pretty ridiculous with its consistency over the last few days.30 minute line block of both Up lines while engineers with poles attempt a temp/perm Fix.
Down services are running on down fast.
Yep! If it’s not ECML having issues it’s the GWML.Ah makes sense. This OHLE situation on the ECML is pretty ridiculous with its consistency over the last few days.
Days? Did you mean years!Ah makes sense. This OHLE situation on the ECML is pretty ridiculous with its consistency over the last few days.

To be honest I've not been too in tune with the ECML, only used to the beast known as the GWMLDays? Did you mean years!

It did take longer than thought to attach etc at Peterborough. The dragging of the 91 was certainly an example of excellent practice, as was GC diverting around the blockage.

Up Fast to remain blocked to all traction for remainder of the day, all services will use Up slow.
Down slow blocked to electric traction, down fast open to all traction.
No! What I wrote at the time was correct, why assume I was wrong just because you’ve observed something.I assume for the Down lines you mean the Fast is closed to electric traction rather than the Slow. Several Thameslink services have passed between Biggleswade and Sandy northbound on the Slow in the last 15 minutes, albeit very slowly.

If line had not reopened the plan was also to haul a return service back south, in the end, the set was dragged throughout to Neville Hill by the 47.
They’ve been departing throughout, however due to the amount of late running trains heading into London and crews out of place, services will be delayed, there is no block on departures from London. The 1800 to Edinburgh has just departed at 1906.1P88 has just passed through the Biggleswade to Sandy section in about 2 minutes.
Any sense of when LNER services will be moving out of Kings X again?
I don't think it has. Apparently, it's sitting in platform 6 and staff are allowing passengers to board in groups of 30 [Edit: This was at 19:09].The 1800 to Edinburgh has just departed at 1906.
T’would appear so, unfortunately1D81 (180106) was earlier delayed south of Peterborough with technical issues. Perhaps a reoccurrence of the fault?
