Does anyone know where I can find a seating plan for the EMT class 158? I am booked on the 7:40 tomrorow from Nottingham to Manchester, and I have seat 62A, but I wouldnt mind having an idea where that is before I get there,

EMT helpfully put the class 222 and HST online, but not the 158. The only seating plan I can find online is pre-refrub as it only shows 52 seats per coach.

Cheers

sorry its Coach A, seat 62A

I guessed I was towards the middle of the train, and the back end of coach A, I was more curious if I will have a window if I am honest,

As a bit of an aside, the apparently low number you found will be because of the older practice of using the same number for pairs of seats either side of the tables. There'll have been far more than 52 physical seats, probably high sixties.

In the refurb they'll have most likely labelled up with unique numbers, due to the limitations of the reservation system they'll all now come up as 'nnA' on the reservation slips.

Trying to go from memory I had a 60 something seat number once which was at the very back of the train as it went towards Liverpool. (It was only a 2 car set.)

Even numbers are usually aisle seats. I'm not sure they'll be an exceptions on the EMT 158s.

The plans in the Porterbrook brochure don't show seat numbers but they do show some class 158 carriages with First Class accommodation contain as few as 50 seats (excluding tip-up seats.)

this is the seat plan on here - http://railwayuk.50webs.com/seatingplan.html

I had forgot that back in the good old days it was the same number on the seats around the table, so if they are now asigned their own seperate numbers it makes more senses, and my seat is possibly seat 46B on this plan using a rough count.
