Eurostar Disney Direct services 2023

Personally I think they'll return next year. Eurostar's concentrated more on it's core market, especially Amsterdam, now running 4 return services, though when there's engineering works there starting June next year the plan is to cancel the Eurostar services. That'll provide spare capacity in more ways than one. Ideal for the Disneys to make a comback, if only for the school holidays when they'll undoubtable be busier.

I suspect Eurostar will look for the Avignon/Marseille and Bordeaux extensions first, they will likely make a lot more money on those. As they need the security equipment in France I don't see it being worthwhile to only open for a handful of times a year.
It also depends on the long term plan for St Pancras capacity and whether the Kent stations reopen in 2025. AIUI the plan at St P is to rejig things for a bigger departure zone but that will reduce the space available for the arrivals on the Disneyland train.

The Lyon/Marseille to London service avoided having to maintain security and passport facilities in the south of France by running as an "insecure" domestic train and tipping everyone and their baggage out at Lille to go through the facilities that are already there before rejoining the train to carry on. This endeavour was timetabled to take just over an hour, although they did not sell tickets from Lille to London on the service so in principle it could set off again when everyone was back on board, tunnel slots allowing.
