I received an email today offering 30% off for travel between 26 November and 13 February next year for bookings made before 23.00 this Thursday. T and Cs apply so presumably it excludes busy Christmas and New Year trains, but the reduction applies in all classes.

Hmmm, slightly irritating that a booking I made in mid-October for a return journey from London to Brussels in late Jan is now £20 cheaper. :(

I don't think there's anything I can do about it. I would have to pay a cancellation charge if I cancelled my existing booking. I could reschedule my existing booking without charge, and then make a cheaper new booking using the sale, but I don't want two return trips.

C'est la vie!

See if you can upgrade one leg to Eurostar Plus (assuming your existing tickets are Standard)? Today's sale price might be not much more expensive than what you've already paid.

New post (automerged):

It's worth knowing, for those who use Uber, that Eurostar journeys are included in their 10% back promotion, making these sale prices even better.

Still far, far too expensive. If the ticket prices were reasonable (and came out to £25 return for one for instance), I'd 100% be committing and travelling. Instead you're forced to pick patchy days like the airlines

Good suggestion! I tried amending to Eurostar Plus, thinking it would cost just a few pounds extra, but unfortunately the 30% off prices aren't used when amending an existing ticket. As you say, c'est la vie.

Booked a day trip to Lille in December. Was pleasantly surprised that I was able to upgrade to Eurostar Plus on the return leg for nothing.

Are Eurostar running with a lot of empty seats at the moment? The November offer and now this one seem much more frequent than normal.

Damn... I forked out last week for June this year for myself and the wife to Paris... still... I got £74 out and £54 back each, so not too bad.

The Eurostar booking horizon also just got extended from early September to the end of the current timetable period in mid-December.

The Flash ticket availability is quite restricted anyway, with the popular trains still being expensive...

Is it just me or are tickets always more expensive in £ than in € every time they have a sale? They are €39 if you pay in euros, which is currently £32.62.
