Tomorrow, sees a now very rare planned substitution, the first in a long while as HD04 which worked up to Holyhead on Friday is stored as whilst HD01 and 05 are both on exam at Crewe (01 at the ETD for tyre turning but will head back in the morning). HD03 will pick up the diagram from cardiff at 10:52.
HD05 is scheduled to be finished tomorrow so HD04 will run ecs to Crewe on Tuesday to start it's heavy exam.
Current status is:
67014+HD01 Exam/Tyre Turn Crewe
67025+HD02 In service
67012+HD03 In service but out of exam days on Thursday
67017+HD04 Stored at Holyhead, ecs to Crewe on Tues for exam.
67013+HD05 Light exam at Crewe, back on service Tuesday
67022+HD06 Servicable spare, in service tomorrow
67010+HD07 Serviceable spare, in service tomorrow.
It does seem that since HD02 has returned from it's major exam, it does seem to be behaving a lot better. I haven't seen it fail once yet, minus the day another set took it's allocation early morning from Crewe, but it does seem okay!
It has been, the swapping was an error allocation in the first place, it was always planned to have a day at Crewe to have its air conditioning repaired.
