Examples of daily price capping schemes that cater for child fares, other discounts, group fares?

I'm a fan of daily price capping, where you don’t need to decide in advance whether you’d save money by buying a day ticket, because you make a contactless payment using your payment card for each single journey and your payments are capped if they reach the day ticket price. This works well for one adult paying with one payment card, but in my experience it doesn't cater for child fares, other discounts (e.g. Railcards), group fares (e.g. family), because your payment card can't communicate that information.

Are there any examples of daily price capping schemes that do cater for child fares, other discounts, group fares? For example by paying using an app?

An alternative to cater for child fares would be for the operator to issue smartcards to children, but that's a hindrance for the user and expensive for the operator.

Child Oyster cards do daily capping like the adult equivalent.

Thanks for the good examples. It makes sense that these would be apps or smartcards.
