Can anyone think of any?

So far I've got:
Michael Palin
Pete Waterman
That's it

I'm sure there must be more though...

Chris Tarrant has admitted to taking numbers at/near Reading.
Kenneth Clarke, the current Tory Justice Minister used to train spot at Nottingham. His constituency, Rushcliffe, is nearby.
Ian Hislop "likes" trains, but I don't know to what degree.

It was reported that Frank Sinatra (when alive) had a miniature railway running through each of his rooms in his house
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Joe Brown was once a steam loco fireman

I allways think of Jimmy Savile of being a train guy, but that's just because of the adverts.

Norman Baker has also mentioned a personal intrest in railways, whether that is just politics I don't know.

He always struck me as a closet train crank. You just know there's a selection of dirty anoraks in his wardrobe :)

On the other end of the spectrum, I know that Frankie Boyle hated trains with a passion, espicially GNER when it was around. I expect he doesnt like East Coast either

Yes, but he hates everything.

I think another well known enthusiast has to be Nick Owen from ITV News.

I think he likes model trains, but knows little about real railways.

From watching James' programme the other day, I think Oz Clarke is a good candidate for a real enthusiast.

I think James May is interested in engineering in general but not specifically railways.

I've just read this on Steve Lamacq's Twitter:
Steve is mad on trains. He's spent a small fortune on what we think is part of a train track. Does anyone still have any hobbies?
He's a very cool, well-respected DJ, on BBC 6Music (and used to be on Radio 1)
