Regarding the so-called 'tribute' to the 'Bournemouth Belle', if they put a green 47 on the front that would be quite prototypical (but without the Pullmans!), as 47s shared the turn with Bulleid pacifics near the end of steam in 1967.

It was going to be a green class 47 but it failed on the ecs a couple of days ago. So it will be 47813 & 826.

Some pics of the WCR train pathed as 1Z79 on Monday morning 3rd July from Bournemouth to Saltburn.

A fallen tree near Dorchester (I am told) forced a long delay and the train's return to Bournemouth still full of passengers. I don't know what happened next - Does anyone here know please?

WCR Class57 601 'Windsor Castle' looking good in pullman livery heads with Class47 804 on the tail on the northward journey.

So 57601 worked 1z79 from Bournemouth -Weymouth. 47804 worked 1z79 from Weymouth -Dorchester west. A tree had fallen down between Dorchester and Maiden Newton. 57601 took the train back to Weymouth,47804 then worked the train back up the southern, then via reading West curve ,Banbury to near Birmingham were it avoided Birmingham to Tamworth, derby, sheffield(now over a hour late). At Milford loop 47813 was attached to 57601 to work the ecs as the 57 was feeling unwell. The ecs finally arrived at York Holgate siding in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

It's possible to copy and paste photos directly into a forum post here, unless of course you're trying to direct traffic to your Flickr page.

.... No I am not trying to direct traffic to my Flickr page - There would be nothing for me to gain by doing so but in fact viewers might gain from seeing the camera settings if they are photographers. And also usually a much fuller description of each photograph.

I am a member of a photographic forum which uses exactly the same software as RailUKforums and all posted images there have to be hosted. Obviously Flickr works very well as a host.

It's quicker and easier for me to host from Flickr. Why is that a problem for you please?

Not a problem at all, I didn't expect to be redirected to another site when I clicked on the photo, that's all. Nice photos though.
.... Ah, thanks for explaining. I think you will only be directed to it on Flickr if you click on my photo. To help people here (I am a new member) I think I might include words in my future posts about the link option to Flickr so that people can choose not to be directed there if they prefer.

Thank you for complimenting my photos - It is much appreciated and encouraging.
